So i did some body work to my RN. Glassed in the nose gas fill. But now I'm not sure the best way to cap off the stock tank fill inlet.
I've searched but the search tab seems to be arguing with me.
I know others have done this, what did you do? Glass the inlet? Rubber cap?
Help please

i just did the same thing and i'm looking for different ways to do this until i get a cart tank? I did it cause I'm sick of banging my knee while spinning around on the hood.

I did it because I redid the nose on my SN and didn't have external fill anymore. Spills in the engine bay do nothing...spills on a pretty paint job ruin it.

Looks like you sealed the filler neck with 5200. That won't last very long. A few months tops. You need a nice rubber gasket of some kind. When your ski feels like it has a carb issue, inspect your filler neck for deteriorating 5200.

I knew the 5200 wouldn't last,( gas eats away at most things) i actually sealed it with a rubber washer first. I just had a tube that was drying up so i used the rest.

Thank you guys for the input.

I used 5200 on mine too thought the stuff could hold up to literally anything but what happened of course about a week after it started coming off. I ended up getting some two part putty in the boat section from Academy and has held up great now.
