Super Jet Anyone ever done this hood mod?

I sealed up the front holes of the hood, and the openings at the top. cut intakes at the rear like a RN hood and holes where the pvc exits in your picture. I did a basic liner, but need to redo it.

Hey that's my old hood! I blocked the front holes too and it cut the water intake by half. When plowing through a wave my bilge wouldn't kick in since the water would drain out the back instead of having to go into the hull

Well, I went ahead and did it. Really easy mod and hopefully really effective.

I'm hoping no issues. I think I might have to trim the long one down a bit.

Just received me Watcons hood seal in the mail today. Seems nice but I can see that the main problem with hood seals has to be the width of the seal in the front of the hood. That space is very wide and I think it may just be placement of the seal the denotes how well it sits with the hood. Looks like it will be trial and error, I will keep it posted in this thread.

This is kinda what i did more work .....

I just ran one hose. The one in the front only gets air from the front holes, the one in the rear gets the air from the top vents. Pour some water in them and check it out. If you are pluggin up the front holes, the front tube isnt even needed
