Why backwards? I think it's supposed to be one full BR, and then 180 degrees more to finish in an invert sub.

Yea you would have to lean backwards off of the ski for the ski to go nose first. Because you would be upside down.

I was thinking of the ski coming down at more of a 90degree angle to the water or rotating just a little bit more to land on the bottom facing the opposite direction.
