Surfriding Crack hull fix it at the beach

Location

So the first day i get to the Carolina Beach event some how crack the bottom of my hull, i noticed something wrong when my bilge pumps ran non stop for 5-10 minutes of riding so i pull it up take the hood off and see a bunch of sand flip it over and 12" long crack in the hull. I was about to give up but my friend said lets fiberglass it, Go to the auto parts store get the cheap kit they have 30 bucks and patched it up and went riding 2 hours later LOL. Held up great......

you gonna have to re do that job when you get back cause that auto parts polyester crap won't hold for long.

but it's all about getting back on the water ASAP...:)

Way to make it work! I had a similar experience with a 3 or 4 inch hole in the side of my hull, I got by with duct tape for the day. You gotta do what you gotta do to get that ride in!!

damn that sucks after you just fixed all the other crap with the pole bracket.....

keep patching it and killing it.

Once you put enough time killing that hull buy a nice one and hopefully it will last once you are landing everything clean.

Yeah thats part of the game when you are learning. If i ever learn the barrel roll then i might buy a new hull, failed barrel rolls kill the ski.

Well This week the patch ripped off when riding not too bad lasted for a bit so i could keep riding LOL. I noticed my dual bilge pumps where pumping a bunch of water non stop, still rode for another hour at the lake. Time to fix it before the next free ride, you think a could layers of 12ox biaxle and a few of 4oz over that just on the outside will last for a while until winter time when i have time to do the inside..
