So I have been looking around and I have found several threads and even a copy of factory pipes tunning page but they all seem to be for larger or dual carb setup.
I have a 96 RN with 701 that has:
Protec head (I think stock size domes since compression sits about 150-155)
Oceanpro FA
SN waterbox
44 Mukuni (I think stock)
just installed a Bpipe with Mod chamber

I am looking for advice on what I should set my carb at with it being just a little guy.

So I sent my last post then left for the harbor. I ended up just adjusting the carbs to 2 & 2 1/2 turns out and the ski ran absolutly perfect all morning. More power than I ever imagined from the little bit I did to the ski and the little bit of tuning. the current setting seem about perfect, any more either way and I can definitly tell it starts to lean out or I loose a bit from being to rich.
one of the guys I ride with who has the almost same setup said hes been running the stock carb and jettting for years. still goin good. I couldnt be happier with the ski right now other than it I had a new prop to hook up with the new found power.

At 2-1/2 turns, the adjuster is 1/2 turn away from falling out altogether. FYI

New jets will cost maybe 5 bucks.

Edit: For Aftermarket carbs. Thread pitch on OEM's is different.

after like 2 1/2 - 3 turns out it ain't making a difference. You need to go up a size in the jets.

Special FX's recommondation is on par FP which is pretty much spot on. I'm not sure stock sizes but if they aren't matching below you're going to be asking for trouble.

Per FP site-
Main Jet : 145
Pilot Jet : 120
High speed screw : 1 1/2 turns out from closed
Low speed screw : 2 1/2 turns out from closed
Needle & Seat : Stock (should be a 2.0 or 2.3?)
Spring : 95 gram (dull gray I believe)

Yeah that far out and you need to go up a jet size or two. I was 3 turns out top and bottom on my ski and thought it ran awesome. Went up a size and a turn out and it ran even better.

Your hi screw is really only designed for tuning 3/4 to wide open throttle

I had 120/135 ran great at the setting I had it at but I went ahead and picked up a 145 from Tomski. Ski is ready to ride but the dbag coast guard guy who impounding skis is guarding the ramp and the wind has been real bad lately so I haven't had a chance to test it out
