No, the 650 engine is a completely different engine altogether. The 500 was a outboard boat engine that Yamaha layed it on its side and put on a new intake/carb.
The 650 was their first real PWC motor.
You can put a 650 engine in a wavejammer or wavrunner 500 witht e LX motor mounts and driveshaft coupler.
