Hi all. Just bought a 2nd hand prop off Ebay for my 99 superjet. It was advertised as a Skat Trak Freeride swirl 14/19.
Every other skat I've owned has some sort of marking on it. this one has none and not even sure if its stainless.
Have I been shafted by another Ebay scumbag??? :banghead:

Looks like a skat, not a swirl though. I cant imagine it would be anything but stainless, skat trac impellers are usually not polished up. Unless somebody cast an impeller out of steel just for the reason of ripping people off, which seems highly unlikely, see if a magnet sticks to it.....pretty sure its not alum because the blades are not think enough.

That looks very similar to a 14.5/18 I have in the garage. It looks stainless to me. Put it on I bet it rips.

I'll go take a pic.

Nevermind I thought it looked like that but it comes off witha tool. I'm pretty sure I've seen good props that look like that though.

looks like a wr impeller(sorry.. i dont need it for my wr's ) yamaha's early ss impellers are usually mark'd somewhere..... whats the diameter???

Solas I'd guess made em for Yamaha under contract .

looks as thou some one did a back cut on the leading edge,(not factory wr)

I've got a stock blaster prop in front of me.

It doesn't look the same. the snout is longer on yours and the leading edge is curved and the stocker is straight.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. Either way then we've established its definately not a skat swirl. :banghead:

I have contacted the seller explaining that I believe it is a stock (possibly) prop to give him a chance to sort something out. So far he has replied that he bought it as a skat swirl. Don't skat traks usually have some engraving with the pitch on them.

Looks like I'll be e-mailing Ebay in the morning.

Thanks again you guys rock :headbang:
