Just as a matter of interest what does a stock hull weight no motor with hood etc
i am just trying to get an idea of what the difference in weight is between that and a lite weight hull
i think i could lose more weight of my stomach than the ski will ever lose but i cant get the grinder into my stomach

Ok
i wonder how i can get some more weight out of my ski
i guess grinding off all the glue thats excess will help

The hood is heavey but i have also lifted some aftermarket ones and they are heavy as well

I posted something similar last year in a thread about the same topic, but here goes:

Freestyle is stuck between a rock and a hard place. The real jetskiers know that in order to make things more "fair" and to show off our true skills, the classes will have to be opened up a bit and there needs to be more variety to the routines. Unfortunately, in order to have the riders to fill up more classes, we gotta draw more people to the sport. This is only going to happen by being recognized by the media outlets and they are not going to televise a bunch of broncos and hood tricks. So for right NOW, we probably need to back up the Malones of the sport with every bit of our enthusiasm, so that more people will get pumped about seeing them. THEN, we can focus on refining the sport to place where all of us really know it ought to be...

Personally, I would love to see events with an "all-around" emphasis, where riders are encouraged to compete in racing, freestyle and freeride for overall scores like in the waterski world, but I know how tough that would be logistically. I also believe the concept of "teams" could do a lot to improve the sport's recognition.

Funny you should mention that. I have been considering sponsoring a "team" of freestylers---hell in a way, I already am. The only thing is the $$$ and time it would require (when considering a "team" effort) and, to an extent, how I can justify it as a marketing expense for a plumbing business. I know that it would benefit my business only slightly, if at all, but it is something I have been kicking around.

Can you believe that I care about this sport so much that I come up with ideas like this? ? Most of the people I've met in this sport are top notch in my book.

I'd paint my ski turd brown and stick a giant toilet decal on the side if some business would sponsor me a Factory pipe...
