Anyone know if a steering cable and/or throttle cable from a RN SJ will work with a 650sx/x2 pump/motor? I don't see any reason the throttle cable wouldn't work but the steering cable I'm not so sure about. No way to test unless I buy.

measuer from the mounting point to the cable end and that should give you an idea if it will. some cables are longer or shorter on just the ends( not talking about overall length). so when mounted they wont work if they are not the correct length. why not just order the correct cable?

My new X2 is going to run a stand up cable instead of the X2 cable. I know the 650sx cable will work, but I'd rather set it up for all RN SJ parts if that's possible. Good suggestion on measuring. I have the SJ at home now... I take it the hull fittings that seal the cables are all interchangeable then?

I imagine a 650 cable would be much cheaper.....

This is true. SBT charges $50 for 650sx and $100 for SJ cables. Despite that fact, I do want to switch my X2 over to all Yamaha parts, same parts as my '04 superjet. Motor, pump, etc. I can't say for sure that will happen, but I would like to be working in the direction of getting rid of everything Kawasaki.

The Superjet was approx 10.5" and the X2/SX were about 8.5". So the answer is no, the SJ cable wont work.

Anyone able to measure a SXR cable?

With the steering cable bracket from smitty's 08 up superjet steering conversion you can make it work. It gives you the ability to mount the cable almost anywhere after you get it centered
