What's wrong with using a lot of rivets? Once they are glassed in, they are gone. I don't get the point.

I found a heat gun useful when installing my footholds. Those suckers didn't line up at all.

Some heat and a bit of tension overnight helped.

They don't make footholds that line up the way they should the first time around.

The idea of such a thing is as foolish as wanting to be married to a girl who doesn't leave a mess on the bathroom counter.

Remember this isnt a superjet. Im sure most footholds are specifically made for Superjets. Who really puts footholds in a kawasaki?

There sure is a good reason. Being this is my 1st jetski ever and Ive had it for 5years or so now. I figured Id be good to cut it up and paint it for practice before I get a Superjet. Im planning on just giving this to my father to use then. So I have to do a good job still.


This the kind of Rivet gun people use?? otherwise my father was telling me about some $17 pneumatic rivet gun.

maybe you could run two rows side by side too. actually you can epoxy it up on the back side and use self tapping screws to fasten it and remove them after it cures and then glass it in this way you dont need a rivet gun just a drill driver.

I just used screws to hole mine in place while the 5200 dried over night. Took the screws out, and glassed over them with about 3 layers of cloth the next day. I put a couple layers all the way across the tray too.
