Super Jet Pics of dual bilge pump install

Here I am again :)...

I just received all the goodies for the dual bilge install such as blowsion bracket, fittings, pumps, wiring kit.

Can someone of you take a photo of where you have drilled the drain holes and the bracket install? This is for 2010 superjet ski.

I am little concerned to drill my new ski and wanted to see some pics before I start drilling.

If you have additional tips, I will very appreciate it :).

Theres mine, I also epoxied bilge next to midshaft, bracket is kind of a waste cant really see it and it just adds more weight.

I 5200'd the blue Rule bracket to the bottom and you can run the outlet just about anywhere, the higher up above the bond line the better.

I'm drilling tomorrow and wanted to do a last "make sure" :)

So the top is better than the bottom, but then I would need 45s, I have straight fittings.. Can I use a rubber gasket instead of glue as a temp solution until I get 45 fittings?

Thanks!

you don't need 45's. I have straight ones drilled right in those spots. Make sure you do it with the hood on so you don't drill the holes under where the wings of the hood sit.

well for if you ever end up with an aftermarket hood, i see you have a stock one in the pics.

You have them on the top or bottom where the narrows point? It seems that if I put straights on the top area they will spray right up..

Yup, its a very stock 2010 2 weeks old, I will be pimping it lil by lil as I get better :)

here are the closest pics I have of them. I think I went as close to the bulkhead as I could.

put the bilge fittings on the sides, up high and back toward the bulk head (like NorCalSJ shows in his pic). Personal opinion, but I always thought that putting them on the top would weaken the hull.

...and it's not about how high you mount the fitting itself, but how high of a loop you put in the hose inside the ski.

For the bracket install, I just pop-riveted the Rule500 bottom baskets to the bracket and then installed the bracket. I don't use the stock siphon bilge so I did not remount that, but if you use it that's what the extra hole on the front of your new bracket is for. :)

Here are the best shots I have of the double bilge install on my Wife's ski. They were glued down to start but I ended up installing a double bracket later.

he is pretty ocd...

edit:but we like that in his harness's. if you dont have one yet, what are you waiting for?

LOL, he ordered up a complete dual bilge setup from me last week so he's all set.
My OCD is slipping though, otherwise I would have instalation instructions to cover all this type of stuff wouldn't I?

I decided to go out and ride yesterday instead of doing the install, injured my knee so now I'll have time to put all the goodies that are waiting around :).

anyone have a pic of dual rules under the mid shaft? it seems like every way i have tried either the wires and in the path of the mid shaft, the hoses are crossing paths too close to hook them up to the pumps. right now i have one under the mid shaft and one next to the bulk head right behind the steering cable. it works and the one on the bottom is an 800 so the other doesnt have to do much work anywho.

you guys with two are nuts with two bilges.

I can barely keep one bilge pump functioning all the time, between switches and wires and battery connections... My handlebar mounted switch is shot right now, it runs in both the on and off positions.

Im running scuppers, stock siphon bilge and 1 rule 500 in each boat.

I just ran one 500 GPH Tsunami, kept the stock bilge system and use the 5 min epoxy to put it in. Never liked 5200 them in for some reason. Just stick and ride a few hours later with the quick epoxy.

I'm having good luck with my 615freeride 3 way switch, but dont think I'll run 2 pumps.

I've seen them on each side of the midshaft abunch.
