650/X-2 x2 premix concentrations

I run it at 40:1. Some people will say to go leaner to get better performance but I like going 40:1 because it keeps everything running smoothly. Also make sure you use premium.

I have a 750 motor and I am running 50:1 at 150 PSI with no problems as of yet. I switched from 40:1 to 50:1 because my blaster friends and my dirtbike were running 50:1 with no issues. Also, my motor likes to smoke a lot. I'm thinking it smokes a lot because the exhaust is not tuned and the temps aren't high enough to burn off the smoke?? I don't know, but going leaner on the oil reduced the smoke as well as my costs. However, I switched to premium unleaded at the same time so I'm actually spending more $, heh.

The person I bought my 650sx from was running 40:1. I ran that until water ingestion killed it.

40:1 or 50:1 doesn't seem to change anything (naturally I don't switch mixes after tuning the motor).

Vumad if you dont know, you can run a hotter spark plug to increase cylinder temp

I knew that but I hadn't considered that as an option. Good suggestion, I may do that. My ski smokes a lot and I'd rather it didn't. Fresh rebuild with great compression so I know there's no motor issues. Problem I have atm is I have a FPP B-pipe with stuck screws, so all 3 holes are wide open. The exhaust is too cold. I need a solution to that before I mess with too much more.

only thing i know to fix that is the big bore screw kit... have to take your time with them.

Tom put them in for me a while back, but it doesn't stop the water at all. Not sure what the deal is, the holes on the inside appear ok. The new taps may not be perfectly aligned so the screws don't seat. Thinking maybe helicoils. Not sure really.
