Bryan leaves sbt moderation

Harrison said it best. And as much as I disagree with some of the actions at SBT, it's detrimental to the users of this site, and the PWC community to go on a trash talking mission on another site.

Glad to see the bans lifted, and maybe this is a good time to come to terms with the 2 TOTALLY different groups that occupy these sites.

If you don't like another site... Don't go there.

As stated earlier it becomes more obvious that its simply a marketing thing as was the original attempt to block other sites. Either way its nice to ba able to post there again. They already lost my business

while its nice they finally buckled under the pressure....

lets not forget, we were promised when they took over the site, that they wouldnt change things, and they did in a big way.

now weve been promised that things will go back to normal or even less moderation? i too am skeptical.

Eh, I was never an SBT customer.....and PWCToday wasn't ever supposed to be purely about SBT products. Regardless of how I feel/felt about SBT....I'll go back to posting at PWCToday. I never had a me against them attitude until they started banning everyone and their mom.

As stated over there, I will lurk for a while longer before jumping back in.
I want to see how things turn out.
I don't really care what Greg's motivation is - if the end result is a properly moderated PWCToday we once knew, it's good enough. I am not an SBT customer, nor will I ever be, nor will I direct any business their way.
That said: Congrats on seeing the rats leave the sinking ship and turning the bilge pumps on.
Bryan, good riddance.

"SBT announced today several changes involving PWCToday. Stephanie Noble of SBT will be the new Site Administrator. Stephanie started working part time in sales with SBT during the late 1990's while she was attending high school. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Childhood Development from Florida State University in 2002. At last count, she has sold over 10,000 SBT engines. Needless to say, she knows the PWC industry very well. Bryan Glynn will continue with SBT and focus on special projects within SBT's technical group. Bryan's efforts this year with both the software and hardware of PWCToday have dramatically improved the look and technical capabilities of the site. His efforts have been very much appreciated.

SBT is the largest PWC aftermarket company in the world and a very proud company. As I am sure all of you understand, it is very difficult to watch things written about our company or our employees that are simply not true and written with the intent to do harm. With power in hand to do so, the natural reaction is to want to either correct or censor such postings. Other PWC forums such as Sea-Doo.net have done this for years with varying degrees of success. After watching the events of the past few weeks, we have decided to go another direction. Consequently, SBT's strategy with PWCToday going forward will be to apply less moderation much in the way it was run before SBT purchased it. We realize that a handful of people after being unbanned are going to imediately post "SBT Sucks" and "come over to our new forum", but we have confidence that the other 25,000 members will see through their childishness and/or their agendas.

Please help me in welcoming Stephanie as the new Moderator of the largest PWC forum in the world.

Greg Pickren
President
SBT"

SBT's actions with the forums has been the stupidest thing they've ever done, and that is true. All the drama is still going to prevent me for going back from a while, mabye forever.

The only thing I agree with Greg about is that posting trash talk is immature, while deserved, it still is immature.

The only thing Im left wondering is if SBT is still going to purvue this site as well.

brraap....thats so 2002
accully i thought it was cleaned up pretty well over there, with the exception of a few i really didnt miss the bs drama that went on.

You know, just because they have let everybody back in, there is no reason for any of our members to go over there and act like a bunch of hoodlems................... by doing so, you are bringing this site down.

be thankfull you can get back on, if you dont care about that site, then dont go over there and start trouble....................

x10 :woot: :woot: :woot:

I always said that if SBT/PWCToday ever took accountability for their mistakes and made a public apology that I would forgive them and return to the site as an active user. Like Matt said I am still sceptical of this and I will slowly return.

Lets show some class here. There is no reason to go over there and start bashing on SBT. That will only make us look like we were wrong in the first place. That is what Greg wants us to do, so that he can prove himself right and then he'll look like the victim.

Everyone on here always preaches about doing what is best for the sport. There are still a ton of couchers over there to be converted to stand up riders.

my .02...
