Can you freakn imagine the outcome if you went to your wife and told her "if you loose 30# I WILL BUY YOU A DIAMOND". No nookie for a month, Geez, why does it work for them and not us LOL.
A buddy of mine got a rickter to quit smoking though LOL. NICE score.
I can honestly say that I could not stick to P90X ans it is EVERY FREAKN DaY. Three hard workouts a day and a good diet will do it bro. I need to get back on my work out. Three and a half years ago I started this routine and lost and kept off 30# for 2 years.
stretch for 4-5 minutes.
Heavy bag work out start with 3 5 min. full on rounds with 1 minute break in between, then work your way to 4 6 minute rounds.
While blood still flowing do 4 sets of how ever many sittups you can stomach
then straight to upper body work out , curls, push ups and butterflies, and or pull ups, 3 sets of however many you can do minimum 8 per set so your not overdoing it with too much weight, try for 10 per set every time.
Then squats and leglifts same as far as sets.
should complete this in about an hr. 3 days a week.
That is hustling for sure but it keeps the blood flowing, mix the routine up except the heavy bag and situps, always do them first.
Drink nothing but water and eat absolutely NO SUGAR, try to make sure you reduce your salt intake as well.
Eat in moderation whatever else you want including pasta, steak, chicken, fish, lots of brown rice with your heavy meals and a steamed vegitable as well.
for Lunch, chili, soup, turkey sandwich or a salad.
Eating fruit and nothing but until lunch will also help.
This routine worked for me at 37 years old better than any I tried as its not too demanding and not too time consuming. Your body will adapt to crave protien and water instead of coke and donuts after about 3 weeks in.
I always took a night off a week and ate what I wanted or had been craving. After a few weeks that ended up being something not so bad for me anyway.
I think if you push yourself on something like p90X you are more likely to give it up as it intrudes too much on your daily life to be managable confortably.
Die hard Diets are the same way, the perfect healthy food is not always available so dont kill yourself chnging everything you do and everywhere you go all at once.
Just my opinion.
