To D cut or not to D cut that is the question?

I have these ride plates on my square that I was considering D cutting. And wondering if you guys think this is a good idea. The one on the left is a jet dynamic, and the other says rapid on it. The rapid has a hole in it. The JD i think is for racing . I only flatwater freestyle, so what do you guys think.

I agree, cut the rapid rideplate. The hole shouldn't matter at all. Cut it flush with the hull first and then D cut it. The hole won't even be an issue except when you cut it flush with the back of hull. You'll love the D cut once you do it.

yep. sell the JD. buy a stocker and cut it. see if you like it. ride the stocker until you break it. then cut the rapid if you like the d.

Let us know what you think.
I still have the stocker for my FX1, including a poorly repaired crack. I'm thinking of yanking the Shredmaster and trying out a D-cut stocker for a day.

I forgot to post results. I love it!!! I put the d cut on one ski and a week later I have one on both skis now!! It feels like the ski is so much lighter. The nose does ride a little high but not to bad. 2 thumbs up for d cut ride plates!!
