Bones are healed from the carnage 6 weeks ago but the tendons and ligaments in my left foot still suck. I tried jump subs last weekend and was limping for 2 days. This time, I just went easy with some hops to see what the pressure felt like on the ankle/arch.

Nothing notable other than the ski... I need to be in the air again... :banghead:

try taping it with athletic sports tape when you ride to give it some extra support.

I had a similar problem and that worked great for me. Our lake ritual was Suzi driving down while I taped my ankle in the passenger seat! The dashboard of the truck looked like an ER with bandages, tape and scissors everywhere :) Check online for bandaging techniques - there are different taping patterns for different ailments - it's worth learning how to do it properly.

You mean Suzi didn't tape you up like one of her horses?:scratchchin:

I might try my old ankle brace too... I used it after a highside on the track 5 years ago. Fit fine under my boots, so should work under my riding shoes...

The ankle is weak and unstable because of the crutches and air cast - I'm telling myself this is like PT; it's forcing me to use it for balance - hahaha.

Well, and vet wrap: same elasticated bandage you buy for humans, but twice as wide, 4 times as long, and a fraction of the price!
