Other You Tube or Vimeo ? Enlighten me.

I picked up a Go Pro Hero and I'm gonna posting the action this season. I hadn't created an account in either You Tube or Vimeo. Which do you use? Tell me the pros and cons of each and which you suggest joining. I hadn't experienced either, I have just played other peoples videos. Any advise is appreciated.

I like Vimeo more, but join both and decide which one you like better

I used to be real big on youtube now its real finiky..... hard to get the setting right, easy to get your clip removed ect vimeo just works for me, will take almost any format, Always uploads first time and is alot less strict on what you upload.....

but crawler is right try both and see what you like best!

Try both. I use vimeo only now. I had a larger video to upload and did the $60 upgrade / membership and it is great. I'm in my second year with vimeo and love it. Youtube just screws up non stop for me. Glitchy basically. Uploads, sign ins, friends trying to watch a glitchy video. Youtube works pretty good for the free service. I'm happier paying a few bucks for something that just works.

Although I suck at making vids, they are a ton-o-fun to make and a great way to keep the good times that were had.

Unless you pay though, Vimeo limits you to 500mb files. When recording in HD, that's not a very long video. Although if it's bigger than that, you're also going to be waiting hours to upload to youtube...

You used to be able to link youtube videos in HD but it seems like they've done away with that option which means all the users have to know it's HD and then manually click on it to change the resolution. Extremely obnoxious to me.
