Congratulations on your wins!!!
What are those rear sponsons and do you recommend them? Or would you suggest something else?
Are you left handed?
You're 100 lbs or so lighter than a sxr and at least 50 lbs lighter than a superjet haha. The key here is clean water, once it starts chopping up, I bet they run you back down. Still cool to get the win. Sounds like you got a. Good enough lead from the start t9 hold them off for the rest. I still.had the 550 pump on my ski with the 750 engine and could hang with the sjs and sxrs only in smooth water. Once the chop started, they would catch right back up hahaShe legitimately walks away from lites skis in clean water!
I also pulled the RHASS mounts from my ski. The vibration from them was bad.So Ill speak up because I am someone who is not happy with their rhaas mounts for 2 reasons.
1. I bought them because they "had" lifetime warranty, which is no longer offered and I have heard you dont get grandfathered in.
2. Urethane mounts just vibrate. I should have known this because I once replaced mounts in my street/track car to urethane and everything started vibrating and some things shaking loose. So the rhaas SJ mounts I have, also vibrate like crazy despite being anal about making sure everything was aligned with feeler gauges in multiple directions. Its just the nature of urethane mounts.
Hopefully they are replaceable with stock SJ rubber mounts (now im talking the 550 conversion mounts).
I’m running a B pipe Mod to a SJ waterbox and out the stock rear exhaust The Limited chamber was just too long. Plenty of room with the Mod. and nice sound.I’m installing a B pipe and I was wondering if any of you Yamasaki dudes running them had any helpful input or hang ups you experienced. Thanks in advance!
Rhaas will machine some of the engine cradle off so you can use stock mounts. You have to ship them too him. I don't know if I would have it done locally since you don't know how much should come off and you'll probably end up shimming a lot.I’d like to do a conversion(701 in a 550 hull) but I want to be able to use OEM superjet or Yamaha couch mounts.
Are there any kits that use Yamaha mounts?
The waterbox is the biggest pain. Get a small Sea Doo one. The kit is actually pretty simple. Though I did also have an issue with a lot of back and forth play in the drive shaft with the pump kit.I’m installing a B pipe and I was wondering if any of you Yamasaki dudes running them had any helpful input or hang ups you experienced. Thanks in advance!
