yamaha waveblaster riva red pipe impeller

Hello, I have a Waveblaster 701 with Riva Red Pipe, Ada Head Dual Cooling and it cuts off almost immediately. I ride barely more than a stock blaster. I would like to know which impeller you would suggest to gain more speed. I don't know anything about impellers and I don't want to buy 10.

An 08+ OEM Superjet impeller works very well if you can find one. You can still find them for less than $150. Plenty of speed and snappy. That’s what I have in my 96 B1. But my first choice would be an Impros Hooker 9/15.

The stock impeller is pretty good. If yours is in good shape you won't see much of a change swapping it out. I have run a Superjet 2008+ impeller and liked it. I currently am running an Hooker 10/16. 10/16 is what impros recommends.

I had a solas big hub 9/15 in my B1 and it was not great. I was getting cavitation when accelerating hard, and all it had was good hit off the bottom. Leading edge upped it to a 10/17 or 10/16. They do great work.

The hard part of the discussion is that so many factors go into pitch, based on a piped 61x

a 14/18.5 straight cut small hub is similar range to a 13/17 small hub swirl, then you get into the large hub and you are gonna be 10/16ish.

If you are lighter you may want to go up a size, and obviously the higher you go the less pop you will have. The hull design runs out of legs in the 40's and impeller aint gonna change that much. For bouys and rough water that top speed is fine, but on a smooth lake, it feels kinda slow.

I have multiple impellers for sale if you want one. but you may take a look at whats in there now.
