found a 760 yamaha motor. was thinking bout purchaseing. then sending to manic for bore job port work etc, Or should i just use my 701 outta my 96, to send to manic for the above mentioned.

Since you already have the 701, it will be the best option. The port timing of the 701 is better for freeride and freestyle and Chris and Blue have a great recipe to extract a ton of power out of those engines.

my 760s in my sj are way better than any 701 i put in, go 760 but they need port jobs for sure.

Don't get me wrong, the 760 done correctly is very impressive but don't for a second think your gonna drop in a stock 760 and be impressed, the higher port timing of the 760 gives more torque but sacrifices throttle response.
If you are going to spend money on a new cylinder just to have it ported, you'd be further ahead to port your current cyl and spend the money saved on carbs.
