X2 needs a nose job

My buddy bought a X2 the other day and the previous owner backed into the ski and busted/cracked the front end. My question is how to go about fixing it. I am very new to fiberglass but i have tried to do some research before fixing the damaged area and i have a decent idea of how i might would to go about it but really wanted some input from anyone on here that has done repairs of this nature. I have some 635 3:1 epoxy and 7.5 oz. cloth to work with from U.S. Composites which sounded like to me was a decent choice for doing a repair like this. In the pictures you can see right above the bow of the ski where it was hit and has cracked in multiple spots and where my finger is in pic is fairly weak. Is this something that i can grind out the cracks and fill the cracks with a mix of a fiberglass and epoxy to make a kind of paste and do 3 or so layers of glass on top and inside the hull...or does it seem like the big portion may need to be cut out b/c it's to weak? Thanks for any input!

I would take out the tank, waterbox and foam.... Put a couple layers of glass on the inside, then sand down the crack the best you can, make a putty out of milled fiber and resin, fill the cracks, sand, prime, then paint, done and it will be stronger than before!
