SO my buddy and I were looking over his square as Ive been researching motors and such on here for awhile now. We check his motor expecting a 6m6 right?! Nope found a 6R7?? What do we have in there?? Thinking maybe a 650sitdown motor of some sort? The next ? could I drop my fx1 motor in without changing cdi? Just sounded like something fun to do since Ive got it and all just takes a little time right!

no the ports are too small. it will choke the engine. might as well get x or t cases and go from there.

You will have no problems dropping the FX1 in the SJ electrics are fine, 650 elecs are even better due to lighter flywheel. Rob the crank and carb from the 650 cases and use 650 cases as boat anker. I got one in attick now.

Uh, I think what was previously meant was that "6R7 is 6M6" and then the fact stated that 6M6's are weak. Not that 6R7's are worse then 6M6, rather that they are the same and both suck.
But, you can use the carb, crank, stator/flywheel/cover in a 700 based engine.
