FX-1 Wrong Impeller Pitch on my FX-1?

I have a FX-1. I just did the Kawi 650 pump swap and cheater pipe. I can feel the difference but when I'm just starting off (from a standstill) I give it full gas and most of the time (not all the time) it spins. I don't know if cavatation is the right word or not, it just feels like the impeller is spinning and not giving me any thrust. Although at pretty much any speed I can give it full throttle and it catches fine.

I checked all the silicone job around the ride plate and that's all sealed tight. I have a Solas impeller that was bent to a 13/18. Any ideas??? Do I have the wrong pitch on my impeller that's causing this?

Thanks in advance.

like posted above no ride plate silicone is needed . But you MUST seal your pump shoe and where the pump seals against the shoe.

Ok, thanks guys. I had someone else put the pump in for me. Will I be able to pull off the ride plate and check (or add to and fix) the silicone job? Or will that require removing the pump? I pull the ride plate and take a look today, and take some pics. Thanks again.

How did I get here?

Just pull the pump.

Easier to work on and easier to see other potential issues. PITA to get to those front 2 bolts though.

So I pulled the rideplate off. There is a lot of silicone in there but don't quite know what i'm looking for. As far as I could tell, didn't seem like there wasn't any silicone along any of the seams where the pump meets the shoe...

I just noticed something. In the 4th picture, it's a little blurry, there's a bolt for the rideplate that sticks up into the pump area about 1/2in. I'm going to grind it down regardless, but would that have caused any of my impeller 'just spinning' problems???

Just thought that might disturb the flow of the water... but I'm not sure.

Thanks
