Wrist pins & washers

yes, you can use the wiseco wrist pins. omit the upper bearing washers. better, still, get some kawi wrist pin bearings. theyre the same size but slightly wider and take up the space of the useless missing washers.

Keep those thrust washers. They are there to keep the bearing from wearing into the piston. I wish I still had the pistons from a motor that I tried not using the washers. If I still had them I would take a pic and show you the damage it causes.

ive seen the washers do more damage than good. when they get pinched betwen the rod and the piston, its over.

Here's my outlook on the washers since I went through this dilemma last year.

Yamaha changed their bearings and started using washers, obviously for a reason, and their engines are still super reliable.

That being said, the best option is to get Kawi or old style Yamaha bearings IMO.
