Blaster Would you consider using a parted out crank

Thinking about putting together a Blaster 1200 conversion, but want to do it on the cheap. Picked up a 98 XL1200 (65u motor) with a bad crank. If I go SBT route it's $375 plus (expensive) shipping both ways for their rebuilt crank. I also found someone is parting out of a running GP1200 and wants $175 for that crank.

This is not going to be a high end racing ski (all stock parts on the cheap). What would you do?

I have bought a used crank before with no issues. Just checked out each bearing and hoped for the best. Obviously not a mechanic here, they'd be checking tolerances but for a rec ski I'd rather go used OEM than New Sbt.
