Worx ride plate. Question

My ski came with the Worx performance ride plate on it the wx 305 and I will be mainly using the ski for freestyle. I was looking at the wx 308 on there web site and it looks like if I just chop off that extension will have the 308.

I have a plasma cutter so it would take me all of about 3 seconds to make the cut. any opinions?

I had a Worx extended race plate and thats all I did. I cut off about 2".

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. My ski came with the Worx dominator but I've been running a stock one instead.
