There was an AP story on that in today's paper. This was my favorite part:

"Authorities found two human arms inside the gator's belly Moschella said.

'We have to do further tests to confirm that this indeed was the alligator that killed the woman, but we believe it was likely that it was,' Moschella said."

WTF?!? What other tests are needed after finding human arms in the gator?!? :rolleyes:

well, there was a bicycle found right next to where she was seen hangin out by the water. it wasnt her bike. it was a perfectly good bicycle. why would someone just leave it there? maybe she saw the onwer of the bike getting attacked by a gator and unsuccessfully tried to help.

just a theory.

i hear ya though, theyre obviously her arms.... just put em in place like a puzzle.

If the arms were big and hairy with a "mom" tattoo....then we'd be havin' some problems. I imagine they were small tanned womanly arms.

I was just on the phone talking to my parents in Ocala, and they said
another person was killed by a gator today in Juniper Springs, FL.

Alligator Fatally Attacks Woman Near Lake George

(CBS4/AP) Salt Springs An alligator fatally attacked a23-year-old woman today near Lake George.

Authorities say the woman had been staying at a secluded cabin near a springhead that feeds into the lake.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released. Her stepfather had tried to help her. He was treated on the scene for a hand injury.

The attack occurred near lakeside recreation seven miles south of Salt Springs.

Authorities were searching for the alligator this evening.

Meanwhile, a woman's body was found this morning in a canal in an Oldsmar subdivision. Pinellas County authorities say the woman was likely killed by an alligator.

Police say Judy Cooper, of Dunedin, was found with animal bites that were consistent with an alligator. An autopsy determined that an alligator did play some part in the victim's death.

hell laniers so darn busy and populated no wildlife survives there, i have been swimming and camping on lanier for over 20 years and have yet to see even a snake.

Yeah, so when I go to FL to pick up my standups, I'm not going to learn how to ride in fresh water in florida this time of year. I think I'll drive back home first.
