"dangling", as in cooling off at the side of the water on a hellishly hot day.

not dangling as in "here gator, gator, gator......."

..... i think.

Isnt Markham that place I rode when i came to SFL? That little canal loks the same

Yes, you were (basically) at Markham. Where this happened was in the canal running in front of the park. Where you were was in a canal running along side of the park....same water. :Banane01:

It's baby gator season. Not the best time to dangle your feet in the water.

Second reason I don't bother with FL fresh lakes! I trust sharks 1000 times more.

What's the first?...nasty water?... no waves?....

We've been riding in those same waters for years without problems. The *only* time I get kinda antsy is around this time of year when the baby gators are exploring their new territory. They haven't yet learned fear of humans so they'll come right up to you. It's pretty cool... problem is, mama can't be far away.

I also got nervous once when I ran out of gas on the X2 at sunset in the small, gator-filled canal. I felt a little like meat.

I saw this on the news last night. Unfortunate, but a fact of life in Florida.

I'm still not fearful of the Gators, just respectfull!:hail:

I would take a lake full of gators any day, over a lake full of RXP's!:biggthumpup:

The attack wasn't enough to frighten people out of the waters of the North New River Canal, about a half-mile west of the site. Even when wildlife officers pulled up to a boat ramp, people wouldn't stop using their Super Jet Wave Runners.

I didn't know you had a Super Jet Wave Runner?:biggrin: Is that what you are calling the roundie now?:biggthumpup:

the kid on the 06 sj told the news guy "wave runner".

i said "no... make that super jet".

the guy was like, "super what?"

i said, "its a yamaha super jet waverunner. ya gotta write down super jet. it matters. its a standup jetski and we're in the water a lot and have to swim back to the ski as opposed to the guys on the sitdown type barges that barely get their feet wet."

awe hell, i just wanted to plug the SJ in the news!

:haha:

by the way, rick... all yamaha PWC are called waverunners.
kawasaki = jet ski
bombardier = crap

you get the jizzed

who had the 06 out? A Newbie?

Do you know James and Joe? James rides a yamaha couch, always wakeboarding with someone and Joe rode a VXR but just got his 06 SJ. The kid mentioned was James' cousin or nephew or something.
