i think the ports on the 701 manifold are different from the 650?

Yes it will fit. You will have to match the exhaust outlet on the cylinder to the manifold for best performance.
which protec pipe? some use the stock manifold, in which you can use a 650 manifold and open the hole at the manifold where it meets the headpipe. pics?
