will 08 RN intake grate fit a 90 SN

i believe that the 90-07 bottom decks of the superjets are the same. But after that did they change the intake grate? i am looking at a worx 201 that came off a 08 superjet. i am planning on putting it on my 90 SN if it fits. Will this work?

According to this thread (see page 3) it will physically bolt up but may not be ideal due to the differences in pump location between the two.

i thought the worx for the 08+ sj specifically was a 221. maybe im wrong.

If I remember correctly I stole one from my 1991 SJ and put it on my '08 after it ripped away.

Dont quote me though, check the part numbers on Boats.net to see if they match.

Ok I checked and they are the same part number.

But as stated above I think the design is different to better suit the setback pump.

I think Worx 228 is the 08 great, the shovel isn't as deep towards the center of tunnel as the 08 tunnel is not ramped as much.

ya on the worx website it sais that the 08-09 superjet takes the 228... im not even sure if the 201 the grate i want.. alot of people seem to really like it though and this one doesnt have a scratch

the grate and plate on an 08+ differs from that on a 96+

i just tried to fit my 96+ plate onto my wcf 08 bottom deck and it dont fit

on alot of 96+ grates there are the 4 mounting holes and an extra set of bosses, which actually line up with the 08 bottom, but the rear set of holes on a 96+ plate comes out past the end of the hull so the plate would need to be cut down on if you were fitting a 96+ onto an 08

the other way around i think you will find the plate is too short

228, that's right. i think the point is though that the holes should line up and a 201 should work on the sn.

so it seems as though maybe he is getting rid of it because the 201 did not fit the 08 (he should have got the 228) but it will fit my sn... thanx for all the replies

Yeah, the holes should line up correctly, its just one grate (I don't know which) is shaped/ designed to perform better in conjunction with the newer hulled SJ's.

My stocker works perfect for me on the 2008.
