Super Jet Why epoxy the flywheel area?

Just curious, all the engine builders Xscrem, jetmaniac, etc. Are epoxying the flywheel/stator area. I understand the other parts like the intake but I dont know what the benifit of the epoxy in the flywheel area. Some one please inform me of the benefit of this...

When you port the cases, the metal gets really thin and in some places they could go through the metal on the cases into the flywheel area. The epoxy is to reinforce it.

If you port it correctly you will always go through. It is fine and very secure if you prepare the area correctly.
I have engines that I have ported over 10 years ago with the epoxy still in there with no issues
