Man there are to many to name. Any of the major companies can port a cylinder to your needs. Id expect to pay around 300 form a reputable builder, give or take 50 bucks.

Jetworks, HPE, Jetmaniac/Blue, are just a few at the top of my list

Id go with who is easiest to get ahold of if you can't drive there and dal with them direct. Nothing worse than being told a timeline and than having to chase someone to find out what's going on when it's passed.

Jetmaniac/blue are the go ,blue is the wizard of port guys ,bang for your buck and awesome guys of the industry, you can not beat them, seriously best guys in the business for this kind of stuff

The JM735 ported is pretty wicked. I'm in the break in process, and only short bursts up to 3/4 throttle is a significant difference. You can get a whole kit to bolt on to minimize down time...

I'm in Southern California and I'm looking for someone to port my stuff, 61x as well, but I also would like to have it somewhere I can drive to, anyone have any one they would recommend?

Awesome info guys! Thank you. Jetmaniac looks like the go to! Glyn, my set up is protec 180 psi head, protec stainless dbp pipe, fcv, 115 low speed at .5 turn, 142.5 high speed at 1.75 turns, skat 9/17 and a hooker 9/15 (I switch back and forth)

List your setup because i bet theres a better place to spend your monet then on a port job on a 61x .[/QUOTE

Jetmaniac/blue for the win.. review the negative threads before picking a company as well. Some companies have an excellent track record. Others with questionable service. It's money or time....

I personally have never been comfortable trading my good cylinder for something unseen. Worn threads, salt water corrosion are my biggest concerns.

A local guy got one and he could not figure out why his 35 cc domes gave him 205 psi on a ported cylinder. The bright orange paint job was not able to hide the corrosion on the outside, I could imagine the inside.

Most sellers you are right but with JetManic / Blue you have nothing to worry about. Your cylinder will come back to you in better shape than what you sent them for core trade

How can it be better than a fresh water only 1 or 2 year old cylinder ?

You be the judge, JM top end out of the box

You might ask them, but I'm sure they'd port your cylinder if you wanted to wait a little longer.
