which hood to buy?

My hood on my 01 rn superjet is really chipped up. What are my options to making it look nice again?

New (used) stock hood?

Do something to my hood? Maybe take off all the old paint somehow and leave it white?

Take it to a paint shop and have it repainted? If I go this route, about how much should it cost to get it repainted? If I do the hood, how much more should it be to to the entire top half of the ski or even the whole ski (solid or a couple of colors)?

Buy a new or used aftermarket hood? What are the advantages to an aftermarket hood (lower, lighter)? Do they make a noticeable difference in center of gravity while riding?

Suggestions?

lower, lighter, and LET IN LESS WATER. thats the biggest advantage.
