where to install external water hose (flush) connection?

Hello,

I have 701 with 61x case and 61x cylinders (and so single mikuni 44 carb) with factory b-pipe. I would like to install a connector / adapter for an external water hose so that i can try to tune the carburetor settings while on a stand. I have looked but cannot see where there is any location to screw in a barbed adapter like you see with some flush kits. Maybe there isn't one? I have been thinking to use a T-type barbed connector and then a short hose with some kind of way to connect a water hose. If i go this route then is the hose i am pointing to in the picture below the correct place to install the T-connector?

If this is right and I install such a connection, then could that connection be used as well to perform back-flushing of engine and pipe?

Last, i have an SJ4 and a SVHO couch and each of these has an OEM female quick release type connector, and so since i already have the garden hose setup (shut off valve and male side quick connector) then ideally I would like to install another OEM compatible female quick release type connector onto the older superjet. Does anyone know where I could buy just the female side of such connector or that connector on a 5/8 hose (part number, link)?

As always, the expertise and knowledge here is much appreciated.

Yes, install a flush at the cooling you are pointing at. This will "back flush" the cooling system.

Just a FYI, you really cannot tune the carb on the hose. Your engine need to be under load (In the water) to tune. Get the low speed dialed in, and the high speed should be set for peak RPM's using a tach.

Thank you John. I should not have used the word tune but rather should have said run. I am installing a fairly new carb (and completely new to me) that was configured (jets, needle valve, springs) for a different application and so I am in process of changing all of these and so want to at least be able to confirm that the ski will start and run at least well enough to get it from where i launch to my dock!

i do not have a tach but in past i have had decent success with high speed setting by securing the ski in water to a ski lift and then doing bursts WOT and then checking the coloring of the plug tips for the "right" shade of brown.

Do you sell a tach? Any link to any doc about how to use one for such high speed tuning?
