Hydrolocked my motor this weekend - 100% human error on my part. :hitwithrock:

Bent a rod on my 8MM stroker crank which I was told is a Rad but has Hot Rods written on the rods...

Anyway, looks like just a rod needs replacing, along with wrist pin bearings of course... who is reputable and reasonable to have this done by?

Thanks,
Andrew

Forgot to mention, there is NO damage to the piston, cylinder wall, nothing. Just a bent rod.

So....just send it down, have the rod replaced or have the whole thing rebuilt and have it ready for next season... hmmmm

$245 for tear down / assembly / rod replacement.

But could be more pending visual inspection.

Whole rebuild was in the ball park Aaron mentioned.

They actually have a 8MM crank sitting there ready to ship they said they would let go for $800 brand new just to move it... 650 style crank that weighs a bit less Cory (guy on phone) was telling me.
