Where is the closest place to ride

My friend and I are getting the itch to ride real bad, So we are thinking spring break, here is the kicker we live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where is the closest water flat or surf that we could hit up, for you who dont know we are north of Montana

what temp are you looking for? Do you have dry suits?
There is no ice in the interior or the okanagan right now.
If you only have a wet suit I think you need to go to Arizona.
sounds like a few fellow Canadians are going to Havasu in March.

Hit up washington.. the westside of the cascades you can get away with 3mm wetsuits, I did 3 weekends ago, but its pushing it at times... haha Up there in Canada you are SOL... No point in Titanic'ing it to ride with the icebergs.. haha I am heading to Idaho next month, but its a Sled trip.. Kinda like ridding the skis isn't it?!?! Ok so not really...

We run surf & flatwater- rivers and lakes..

Water temps in the Lewiston Id area were low 40s last time I checked, definitely doable with a decent wetsuit. The Spokane river isn't frozen either.
