BTW, you missed that day, it started like a good attempt, then everyone began to bail and head for the shore, we were only about 5-7 miles in the open ocean, it was rough, like 8-14' "chop". Finally, even Tommy started bitching about being low on gas and hypothermia and we had to turn back... and right there (being pissed out of your mind, cold and pretty exhausted does not do any good) I hit that stupid wave sideways... Well, I tore the right meniscus over 20 years ago and was too stupid not to wear the knee brace on the left knee too when riding. Live and learn, I guess...
