What to seal pump and prop housing with

In all the instructions i have read is says nothing about sealing or what to use between impelllar housing and the pump housing. When i took it apart there seemed to be a sealent.

Are you talking about between the pump and the pump shoe?

There is already a rubber gasket there so I just put a light coat of silicon to add to the seal.

If you are talking about sealing the pump housing together then I would use

Yamabond or 1211 (same stuff)

I used Yamabond for sealing the pump housing back together and I also replaced that rubber gasket between the pump while I had it out. It was only $18 and mine wasn't looking too great. I figured I better be safe than sorry. After spending a ton on modding a ski a bad seal causing some cavitation can really hurt the performance.

Like I said in my above post after I put that new gasket on I also put a very light coat of silicon between that gasket and the pump shoe just to help out the seal.
