What size drill Bit- 1/8 tap

Alright so im getting ready to set up dual cooling, go to lowes today to get a 90 deg 1/8 thread to 3/8 barb which they dont carry.... But i decide to pick a 1/8 NPT pipe tap anyway, which of course doesn't come with a drill bit like any other tap nor specify which one to use. Anybody know the exact size to use or hate stupid lowes employes who know nothing? Other wise i guess ill just start guessing.
Thanks

Pipe taps are tapered for a reason and the proper drill size is always best from a mechanical engineering standpoint but its all good. IMO

LOL

why is that, about it being tapered, if you run the tap all the way in then the fitting will not snug up, learned that the hard way.

Brian, you are reading way too much into that, think you are the one with trash mouth!!!!!!!!!
