Super Jet What materials to use to reinforce hull???

lets go over a few basics, im no expert but ill share my knowledge ive gained from looking on the boards.

if you wanna reinforce you EPOXY resin not polyester
sheets ether use fiberglass or carbon fiber
if your doing inside of the hull fill bondline first then apply sheets top to bottom for better strength
most say grind off ribs for smooth reinforcement but its basically a personal choice

main areas to reinforce are
sides of hull
handlepole bracket
nose
and for surf back right corner by exhaust

depending on what conditions you ride will determine how much glass/carbon fiber you use.

Yep they pretty well got it covered, I have done my shopping around and Uscomposites is the cheapest. I actually just ordered all my stuff, I am waiting for it to get here now. I added a couple dollars here and there for coloring and better material, But still tryed to stay as cheap as I could while getting everything I needed, ended up being somthing like $248 shipped for everything I will need for the job including silicons and glass. If you really tryed you could do it for 150 or so though.

Looked the stuff up lastnite....looking at about $70 for epoxy resin kit and $9 per yard of material. not too bad. going to use self leveling seam sealer to fill in bond lines. my buddy owns a body shop so he is hooking me up
