what is this for? this is my 02 kawi 750 sx. looks like some kinda pump maybe???goes from top of motor behind gas knob to plastic base on bottom of hull. the hose is missing. any reason???is it a mod or a hack job to kinda fix a problem??any info would help.thanks

yes, should be hoses connecting them, and a plastic elbow with a breather vent if I remember correctly.

a white plastic 90 degree elbow with a tiny hole in the top of it...

i get water in the ski but its from me sucking at riding a standup lol. should i just silicone it or use a short hose with a bolt and hose clamp??? i just picked up a aftermarket bilge pump that i havent installed yet.is the factory one better(if it works)?

Put a hose on it and it'll work. It's not as fast as an electric, but helps out. There is a small hole in the plastic part at the top to break a siphon so you don't fill the hull with water.

It works like an eductor with the suction created by the jet pump so when the engine is running it will continually suck water out of the bilge.

would there be any reason he dissconnected the hose.i dont want to fix that problem and have something go wrong becauze of it.

or he used the line for dual cooling.most peeps disconnect the oem bilge but few realize it's the best system yet short of scuppers or one way valve.
make sure you connect it again.
