Custom/Hybrid What did you save....what did it cost you?

Let's be honest, we aren't millionaires so we're always trying to get the best deal possible. If you're good, it works great most of the time but every now and then, it screws you over.

I decided to save $20 over the OCD Solutions switch by adding a mil spec switch from mcmaster carr when I placed my last order. After only 2 weeks, the contacts inside the switch tanked and it started leaking current which has permanently killed my $160 battery. What a deal! :banghead:

When I had to replace my midshaft last year because of worn splines, I didn't replace the driveshaft. Setback mag pump, kinda spendy you know.
Well, six weeks later I replaced the driveshaft plus another midshaft.

I have learned in 12yrs the expensive/hard way before that some aftermarket parts don't last long compared to OEM...
