I was riding my cousins RN SJ, he put a factory wet pipe and a different prop in it not sure of pitch, it is amazing how it jumps out of the water and how fast it is.....however, when I would open it up and run it flat out it would just all the sudden just cut out, it would not stall, just cut out power and throw me off. Is it the rev limiter or some kind of lean seazup? it is tuned fine no bogs or flatspots, it does feel like 1/2 to 3/4 throttel is WOT, with no gain past that.

Sounds lean on the top end, that will kill a motor FAST.
I would put a proper tach on it and tune for the highest achievable rpm.
