And my friend just left my house, he sunk one on the trailer while unloading the other.
Long story short, one had a dumb modified exhaust and a cap over the original thru hull in the pump tunnel. Well the cap broke, when he was unloading one ski that he was going to ride that day, the other was on the trailer strapped down still. Engine full of water.
Pulled the plugs and shot as much water out as I could, it just kept coming.
Pulled the ski off the trailer and rolled it upside down. Shot out as much as I could. Flipped it back over and..... shot out as much as I could.
Little fuel down the cylinders, put in plugs. Cranked and sputtered.
Pulled and cleaned crud off plugs, tried again, same story. Few more rounds of sputtering and cleaning plugs and finally it fired up, let it run about 30 seconds and turned on the hose.
Let it run on the hose for about 15 min. Revving it every now and then.
Then fogged it. That’s all I can do for him for now. We can’t run the ski until the stock exhaust parts come in from eBay later this week.
Do you guys think that if I fire it up on the hose and fog it daily until we can run it hard to dry it up, it will be ok and rust free?
