I haven't been using one, but just yesterday afternoon I was messing around and came way too close to wearing my entire ski as a hat.

Slutty, isn't yours a white-water kayaking helmet? I want something really light with no visor.

it's made by cascade and yes it's a whitewater rafting helmet... by far the best helmet I have used...

I still can't believe that peeps think its un-cool to wear a helmet..my guess is that people that view it to be un-cool to wear a helmet must not be riding hard or at the ragged edge of their ability..I have personally seriously cracked/split entire head shells wright down the middle and literally torn/smashed off full face jaw guards on a few helmets..I browse thru all these carnage pages of stiched heads, gashed faces and busted ear drums and wonder WHY?

I got some of those stitches and a gashed face while wearing a helmet during roll attempts. Smashed the mouth guard and the sharp edge cut the ol' chin right open. That helmets now a trophy in the garage. I shattered the visor on the new one and put a good gash in the chinpad. Beats a broken jaw or neck.

I watched a show last night on Men TV called "Beach Patrol" and they pulled over a coucher wearing a helmet. The guy was jumping waves close to boats in a heavy traffic area. The water cop told him he thought the helmet was good idea and let the guy go with a warning. That's one more reason to wear one.
