My oldest son turned 12 last week and Yester day at Wave Rave toward the end of the day I gave him a pass to Play with my 550. He's never been on a stand up before and withing 20 minutes he was up, and making tuns and ripping through some light chop. He even took it back the 2 mile trip in 1' chop to the boat launch and never dumped it once. :cheer:

It's scary how fast kids pick this stuff up.

my kid is "officially" 14 and has a boating safety card to prove it:147:
he is hooked on the 750 and does nose stabs, rail riding and all sorts of other cool stuff cause he is so light.
it is cool to get the next gen into something away from tv, psp, xbox and myspace.
set him up an account here at the x:Banane09:

That is so awesome! Tomorrows torch carriers are our children. I have three. My 12 year old (son) has been riding solo since he was 8. My 7 year old (daughter) doesn't show quite the interest. My 4 year old (son) has been riding with me for a year and a half. I don't push them to ride. The boys have just naturally wanted to do it.

right on. My kids both ride dirt bikes too. The oldest has been chomping at the bit for a couple years to ride the skis solo and I always have to tell him no. But since there was nobody around yesterday ( police wise) I gave him some instruction to stay clear of the other people and go have some fun.

Things were so much easier when we were kids. Sometimes I thing there are just too many rules nowadays.

So true. I let my boys ride any time they want provided the law is low. I understand the age requirement just like driving an auto. I also know that some individuals are ready for it much younger. Keep puttin him out there.

Your boy is good............. my buddy dumped twice going back to the inlet and I almost lost it once, but we were cruising pretty fast!:scared:

He wasnt going that fast (By my couch standards), but he was out running the dude that was with us on the other 550.
