Hey guys,
I just picked up a 94 Blaster 1 from a guy for really cheap that was just sitting on a trailer in his yard. He was the original owner and has had it for 20 years! The starter was shot so I installed a new one, and tried starting it up. After a few cranks it fired, a ton of smoke came out and then died. I tried to start it again, but it doesn't want to fire. Poured a little gas down the carb, nothing. Rebuilt the carb, looked clean, still nothing. I took the plugs out to check for spark and it was very weak. Today I just tried it again and there is no spark at all. Swapped boots and still sometimes weak, sometimes nothing.
Now I've had a spark problem on my SJ and replaced the coil and it worked good. However would this be the problem for the waveblaster? Anyway to check the output of the coil with a meter. Electrical isn't really my thing so any help would be good before I go buy a new coil. Thanks again for the help.
