Thanks for the heads up guys,
The breather hole is down because it allows any water that does get in there from a sinking to drain out as well if it rubs up against your exhaust hose it can block the hole if its on the side. These are 6061 marine grade so they will still look like this well after your ski is a ball of fuzz hahahaha.
