Wave Blaster 1 bounching at high speed

Hi Guys
Need help on my wave blaster 1.
Recently change worx 201 grate and riva ride plate, and the ski bouncing at top speed at flat water. Check intake grate flush with pump shoe.
ride plate all flush with the hull expect the intake grate area where the ride plate is down abit from intake grate.

My ski engine all stock.
Thanks.

That 201 really hooks the blaster up but it makes the ski porpoise. I experimented with different thicknesses of shims under the back bolts of the ride plate and ended up with 6.6mm shims. Its going to change depending on how heavy the rider is and how fast the ski goes. I originally made the shims out of aluminum but I am now using 3d printed shims. Mine are shaped to be inserted from the back without removing the ride plate and sit flush with the rear of the ride plate. I did also have to use slightly longer bolts in the back two bolts. Here is a side profile of the shim. As myself said washers will work as well.

Thanks for the reply, i will add more shim to test, but i did post the pic and circle wth red where the rideplate is lower tham the intake grate where the water will hit the ride plate. But the side of the rideplate both left n right flush with the hull.

I can't really tell by that picture. But my rideplate sits a little lower that the back of the intake grate. The scoops of the grate should be lower than that and scooping all of the water right in front of it anyway. I just filled the gap between the grate and hull with silicone and kind of tapered it to smooth the front edge of the ride plate right there.

with a top loader style intake grate like the worx 201, youre not going to get rid of the porposing at speed in smooth water. that intake grate pulls the ski into the water to keep the pump hooked up in rough water. its not made for glass or smooth water. if you ride in mostly smooth water, then youll either want an open style intake grate or a less aggressive scoop grate. adding shims to the ride plate will help with the porposing, however it will change the handling of the ski in other ways. it will want to push the back of the ski up and make it ride more on the nose which is ultimately working against the grate. it will also affect the top speed.

I will try to put some silicone in between and see from there. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the information. I will try to adjust and see if its help, otherwise go back to stock rideplate :)
