my water air seperator has been filling quickly lately. ive already drained my tank 2x so far due to water in the gas. my water fuel seperator had more water in it than feul.
are you guys leaving the water air seperator open in the bottom or is something wrong?

Make sure the one way valve at the tank is working properly. Also the Water seperator has a bulb that goes on the end that sticks up into the bottom of the handle pole. The bulb has a small hole that should keep most water out, if this is missing then the open tube will take in water easily. You should check it often if you are stabbing or subbing a lot.

I added a second one using a 20 oz. soda bottle. Cut your line, stick the two ends of the hose in holes in the bottom of the bottle and silicone or JB weld it to the plastic, tuck the bottle in upside down between the battery box and front of motor. Almost all water that makes it past the stock seperator will collect in the bottle, and then just unscrew the cap to let it drain.
On my modified ski I don't run one, have the vent in the engine compt. I don't use a reserve so if small amounts of water get sucked in they will get sucked out the carbs before it can accumulate enough to be a problem.

?

Jet re-read this: you should not have ANY fuel in the seperator, if you do the one way valve is not working.

Also, don't leave the drain plug open, otherwise water will suck in anytime you have water in the hull and it rolls onto its left side.

I leave my Water/air seporator OPEN at all times ,
While the ski is running your tank should be slightly pressurized check that the one way valve is working , and the little bulb is in the end of the blue line up the handle pole

at least the Yamaha Fuel/Water seporators work well and its easy to see if there is water in them

dude theres 2 water seperators.
one is water/air, on the vent line. the first measure to keep water out of the gas.
one is water/fuel, on the fuel line. water goes to the bottom while fuel stays on top.
i have no fuel in my air seperator so my one way must be working properly.

what if i added a res for the air/water seperator? or didnt leave the drain plug off, just open enough for the water that collects there to trickle out?
i feel like the only one that has this happen!
